Strawberry Jam

Not only does this strawberry jam make for the perfect breakfast companion, but it can also be a versatile ingredient in your culinary creations. Add a dollop to your yogurt or oatmeal to elevate your morning routine. Use it as a filling for tarts, cakes, or thumbprint cookies to add a burst of fruity goodness.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Containers Strawberries Fresh
  • 1/2 Cup Sugar
  • 1 1/2 Cup Sugar
  • 3 Tbsp Lemon Fresh

Method
 

  1. Cut strawberries into 4 pieces removing the leaves. Place into a large bowl
  2. Add 1/2 cup sugar onto strawberries and mix well, leave over night or for 6-8 hours
  3. Give a mix, blend strawberries and sugar juice together, place into a large pot. Should hold double of its size
  4. Add 1 1/2 Cup sugar into blended strawberries. Start cooking on medium-high heat, once strawberries have started to boil and sugar is dissolved add in 3 tbsp fresh lemon juice.
  5. Continue to cook, stirring occasionally for 30 minutes, or until strawberry mixture has a thick, sticky constancy. If it doesn't add 1/2 Tbsp more and cook for an additional 5 to 10 minutes.
  6. transfer to a jar or container allow to cool at room temperature. Cool completely before storing it in a fridge. Good for 1 month..
