Ingredients
  

  • 2 3/4 Cup Flour
  • 2 Cup Sugar
  • 2 Teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1 1/2 Teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Cup Milk
  • 1/2 Cup Butter Melted
  • 2 Eggs
  • 2 Teaspoon Vanilla
  • Purple Gel colouring

Method
 

  1. In a large mixing bowl whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  2. Whisk in milk, butter, eggs, and vanilla
  3. Stir in boiling hot water. Mix until smooth.
  4. Divide into 2 separate bowls and add colour, if doing one colour mix in after hot water.
  5. Pour into prepared pans. Bake at 350°F for 30-35 minutes or until tooth pick comes out clean
