In a large bowl start with 2 3/4 Cup flour.

2 Cups of sugar

2 Teaspoon of baking power

1 Teaspoon of salt

1 1/2 Teaspoon of baking soda.

Mix together until well combined

Add 1 cup of milk. I used 3.25%

1/2 Cup melted butter

2 Eggs

2 Teaspoons of vanilla

Mix together until smooth. Do not over mix.

1 Cup of boiling water

Mix together until smooth

This will be very runny. This is what you want.

Weigh out equally into 3 prepared pans. About 509 grams each.

Bake at 350F for 30-35 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.

Remove from pan and cool completely before decorating. Using the parchment paper, the cakes flip out of the pan easily.
