Super easy homemade pasta. Takes about 5 minutes to prepare, 30 minutes – 2 hours of resting, and under 30 seconds to eat. Delicious and foolproof you could never mess it up! Just 4 ingredients you might already have at home, if not super cheap and easy to get.
This pasta is perfect for pasta sheets or for a pasta press, the taste is so simple so it will go with anything you would use store bought pasta.
4 ingredients you say? yes only 4 ingredients the only thing i did not have lying around the house was one of the 2 flours, but like I said earlier it was super easy to find. I actually had a harder time finding cornmeal at the store. The only 4 ingredients you need is all purpose flour, semolina flour, eggs, and salt. Super simple right?
Ingredients:
3/4 All Purpose Flour
1 3/4 Semolina Flour
4 Large Eggs
2 Teaspoons Salt
Method:
In a medium bowl combine both flours and salt together.
Make a well in the center of the bowl to allow the eggs to sit.
Place eggs in the center of the well.
With your hands mix the eggs into the flour eventually turning it onto a clean surface, when it comes together. Some of the flour will be left on the side, don’t try and mix the flour in the dough will become too dry.
Knead dough for about 5 minutes, until smooth.
Wrap dough in plastic wrap for 30 minutes – 2 hours.
Tips:
Is the dough a little wet?
Dough should not be wet, if it is wet knead some more of the flour mixture into it.
Is the dough a little dry?
Dough should also not break apart when it is being kneaded add a little bit of water to your hands and continue to knead.
Think something just isn’t right?
If you think you have messed up, just keep kneading for a minimum of 3 minutes, dough does come together somewhat quickly after a little bit of time.
