Apple Crisp Recipe

How to make a delicious apple crisp. Great for any time and occasion! Super simple to make and really quick. I had this recipe ready to be put in the oven in less than 5 minutes! After a 40-minute bake, it was done.

I used Gala apples for this recipe but you can use whatever apples you have or whatever apples you like.

Peel and cut 5-7 small sized apples. I used Gala but you can use whatever you would like

Slice apples and place them into cold water with some lemon juice so they do not turn brown. Set aside.

1/2 Cup of flour

1 Cup of quick oats

1/2 Cup of COLD butter. Be sure that it is cold to make the crumble correctly.

I like to start with knives and cut the butter into small peices before I use my hands to ensure everything is mixed correctly. Do this part quickly as the butter will get to room tempture being broken apart and moved, or with the heat from your hands.

Crumble should look like this. You should be able to pack it if you squeeze but will break apart easily.

Coat a pan with butter or oil and drain apples. Mix apples with sauce and spead into a pan.

lay apples evenly and scrape any extra sauce left in the bowl. Break topping apart ontop of the apples

create an even layer of topping ontop of the apples.

Bake at 350 for 40 minutes or until apples are tender.
